Vermeer's painting "A View of Delft". De Graaf carried out his work on generation in Delft (and was a neighbour of Vermeer's), while Leeuwenhoek lived there all his life.

Entry in the catalogue of the Royal Society's museum referring to Swammerdam's gift of a preserved uterus and a copy of his book, "Miraculum Naturae". The specimens have since disappeared, but the book is still in the Royal Society library.
